At our weekly Rotary meeting on May 7, our club was joined by Aubrey City Administrator Charles Kreidler, who gave an update on the growth Aubrey is experiencing and overall updates for the City.

Highlights of the discussion:
- Aubrey is experiencing the same growth as much of the surrounding area. With a current estimated population of 8,550, current projections put Aubrey at potentially 55,000 population by 2031.
- Aubrey's inaugural Citizens Academy kicked off on April 30
- Schlotter reported on the construction of the next two fire stations for Aubrey Fire Department, at FM1385 and Winn Ridge Blvd (Fire Station #2) and FM 2931 and Frontier Parkway (Public Safety Station #3)
- First Ladder Truck for the city will be housed at Fire Station #3
- Aubrey Library boasts more than 7,000 patrons, and is renovating part of the Library for a community center
