We were graced by Royalty at this week's Rotary Meeting! From Aubrey High School, Jacob Gonzalez and Dayzee Tovar were elected as Homecoming King and Queen last month. Jacob has a strong photojournalism interest, something he wants to pursue in college at UNT. He works for the Pilot Point Post-Signal, providing images of Aubrey athletics and beyond. His Hometown Hero is his dad, who pushes him to excel in his interests. Dayzee is involved in FFA, showing primarily lambs. She was Reserve Grand Champion overall and Grand Champion in Breed at the State Fair of Texas this year. She also serves as Class President and is in the Beta Club and National Honor Society. She travels around the state, teaching showmanship clinics and discussing the importance of agriculture to the economy, and plans to attend Texas A&M to major in ag leadership and development and minor in agricultural communications.
