Aubrey High School Students

This may be a first for our Rotary Club! This month, we had two outstanding twins as our Seniors of the Month.

Tyler Brown is hot in pursuit of his goal to be a Division 1 athlete. He recently verbally committed to the University of North Texas a dual-sport athlete in football and track.  His hometown hero is his mentor Coach Nick Brown, who helps him understand the pride of in being respectful and conducting himself with character. "I want to set the example because I see little kids watching me." Last year, Brown won the 4A 200-meter state champion as a junior with a time of 20.72 seconds.

Taylor Brown, his sister, is ready to take her passion for people to Louisiana State University, majoring in political science and hoping to specialize in Real Estate Law. She has been a member of Beta and serves on Student Council at Aubrey.

Pilot Point High School Students

Both Pilot Point students this month are highly involved in Student Council.

Noah Pelzel sits currently at third in his class, is the President of National Honor Society and is heavily involved in FFA, including serving as District Secretary. Noah competes in the FFA on the Ag Quiz team, in Chapter Conducting, the wildlife team and in cotton judging. He has also shown Case tractors, market lambs, and competed in the Tractor Driving contest at the Denton County Stock Show. He is wanting to pursue higher education at either West Texas A&M, Texas Tech or Oklahoma State in ag business and crop and soil science.

Noemi Alejos serves as President of the Student Council, and enjoys the leadership roles and event management that go with that position. She is also the Drum Major in the marching band, serves with FCCLA, and plays on the varsity soccer and tennis teams. She is hoping to attend either TCU or Texas Tech and majoring in biology with the ultimate goal of becoming an orthodontist.
