This week's speaker will be Cindy Kennedy with City Center Churches. This group has had many accomplishments since they formed, including getting the Community Center, formerly the Senior Center, open and active again. They also worked to establish Meals on Wheels in the area once again. They have worked quietly to pursue many projects that make a difference in our community.

At our July 23 meeting, we had Dr. Shannon Saylor, new superintendent of Aubrey ISD, speak about the upcoming school year and improvements within the district.

At the Rotary Meeting on July 16, we discussed Rotary Committees. A sign-up sheet was sent around for those wanting to assist with a committee, which include:

Beginning this year, everyone will be participating in the Flag Program. Whether this includes being on a Flag Team to put out flags or assisting behind the scenes with getting new flag subscribers, everyone can help us with our biggest fundraiser of the year!

Our next Flag Work Day will be August 9 at 9:30 a.m. at our warehouse at 216 W Liberty. We have just a few flags to repair in advance of our next Flag Holiday on Labor Day.

We will be having a Blood Drive during Chromefest on August 31. Please register for your space online to help save a life!
