In the meeting on Tuesday, March 19, the following items were discussed:
- Adding the calendar of members responsible for booking weekly meeting speakers to the website (or developing a better system for doing so)
- Deadlines for acquiring speakers for upcoming meetings, as well as other marketing and event opportunities
- Utilizing the website to get information on upcoming speakers and events
- Figuring out a better solution for food on Senior Tuesdays, when lunch is provided
- Visiting the organizations that we benefit, to find out what they do and how we can support them
Fifth Tuesdays of the month, the membership would like to have a fun activity, whether it's lunch out as a club, a Happy Hour at Lowbrow's or another event.
If you would like to volunteer your time outside of Rotary, please contact the Service Committee, who will be building a list of volunteers who could assist other local entities when they need an extra set of hands or two.
Anyone who is interested in assisting with the Flag Committee (currently headed by Jerry Alford) should contact Jerry or Lenette Cox. We need additional helpers with flag repair and maintenance, storage, flag teams for display and recruiting more flag subscribers. Even if you do not have a truck or cannot handle the physical aspects of our flag program, the Flag Committee can find a task for you to help with! FLAGS ARE OUR PRIMARY FUNDRAISER, so we need all the help we can get!
If you have an idea for a program or speaker, or want to get on the list to assist with booking Rotary programs, please contact Programming Committee Chair Linda Bullwinkle.
If you have a friend who is interested in joining our Rotary club, bring them to a meeting! Membership Committee Chair Penni Moening can speak to them about the benefits of becoming a Rotarian and our club's impact on the community.
