At this week's Rotary meeting, we heard from Fire Chief Heath Hudson on how his department is managing the growth and preparing for the future, including the construction of Public Safety Station #3 and the new crew of firefighters to lead it.

Other Rotary Business
We voted as a club at the Tuesday, July 22 meeting to donate $100 to the Back to School Bash, a new initiative in town this year by Pilot Point Police, Pilot Point ISD Police, the Pilot Point Chamber and Pilot Point ISD. This Bash will be August 9 at the Middle School and will benefit Pilot Point ISD students.
 
Anyone wishing to donate to the Education Foundation for this event, which is providing school supplies, bicycles, haircuts and food to students in need, can click this link.
 
THIS SUNDAY is the Lovepacs Open House from 3-5 pm at their location in Aubrey (4940 US 377, Suite 7). Lovepacs is one of our close non-profits that we work with throughout the year, providing food to students in need during school breaks.
 
Those attending can bring a packed Weekend Bag to receive additional entries for their door prizes. The Weekend Bag includes:
  • Ramen
  • Applesauce Cup / Pouch
  • Oatmeal
  • Pop Tarts
  • Microwave popcorn
  • 2 granola bars
  • Box of Macaroni & Cheese or pasta cup
