This week, we will be having a Club Service Work Day to pack boxes for Lovepacs Aubrey, one of our charity partners in our community. Lovepacs provides food boxes for local children in need over school holidays, such as Spring Break.

Our club voted to add Christine Preston as a new member. Christine is new to the Pilot Point community and will begin to join us as active Rotarian. Welcome Christine!
Rowland Funk, Service Committee co-chair, reported that the committee voted unanimously to recommend a donation from the club of $250 to the Disaster Aid USA, the organization that spoke to us in January about their mission to assist those impacted by natural disasters.
Abigail Allen gave an update on the ordering of dictionaries for third graders, one of our club's service projects for the year to promote Rotary's literacy initiatives. Jerry Alford also gave an update on the Flag Program. Mailers will begin going out in March to existing flag customers, and a club work day will need to be scheduled prior to the Memorial Day flag holiday.
